Hands of Valor

Hands of Valor is a fundraiser where students have money pledged to them to do work for a local widow(er).

Parents: We will send out sponsor letters (the school prints, stamps and sends) just need you to gather addresses of your family and friends. Our goal is around 25 addresses per family (or more if you have it!)

Sheridan Valor Project 2023

May 3, 2023 | Sheridan, WY

The mission of Valor Academy is to provide a personalized Christian education that supports each student’s unique needs and abilities and fosters creativity, mastery, and excellence. We work with outlier students, gifted students, and those students who may learn differently. The foundational focus of Valor Academy is to individualized education to each student’s needs. Due to a big increase in student enrollment for this upcoming fall, Valor Academy is in great need of a larger building! Pray with us for God’s provision and rejoice with us at how God is blessing the school. We are expecting 50-55 junior/senior high students this fall!

Eunice

Widow | Wyoming

Eunice moved to Sheridan, WY when she was 18 years old to work in the kitchen at Eaton’s ranch. She married her husband Lash in 1975 and together they raised 11 children. Eunice worked some as a CNA at the VA hospital but then stayed home to raise her children. After her children were grown, Eunice worked for the Department of Family Services for 13 years. She quit that job to be a full time caregiver to her husband Lash after he had a stroke. She cared for Lash until he died of complications related to a stroke in 2001.

A Different Kind of Fundraiser

A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow’s home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help students at Valor Academy receive the specialized education they need. Will you sponsor us?
